Welcome. Thanks for dropping by.
I live and work in southeastern Connecticut. After a long & gratifying career in art education, I now concentrate my efforts on my own studio practice. My home workspace – Lair Studio – is equipped with a Rembrandt press and affords me the freedom to seek my creative muse. I work in a variety of techniques with a focus on less toxic printmaking processes.
As an artist, I’ve always been intrigued by the unique opportunities that the transferred image affords; with printmaking, the opportunities are unlimited. It’s the process and the often unexpected results that captivate me. The smell of the ink, the creative energy involved in working the plate, the feel of the paper , the magic of the press; all play a roll in print making’s allure. At the end of a printing session, it’s always magical to find out what lies beneath the blankets.
